NBA All-Star Game 2012: Dwight Howard Thanks Orlando for "Great" Weekend

Dwight Howard spent the majority of All-Star Weekend avoiding questions about his future with the Orlando Magic. "If it's not about All-Star Weekend, then I don't want to talk about it," he said during a media availability session on Friday, and he held himself to that. The reigning three-time Defensive Player of the Year has had to face questions about what free agency has in store for him for over a year.
Sunday evening, after his Eastern Conference squad fell to the Western Conference, 152-149, Howard discussed the City of Orlando itself, and though he didn't make a definitive statement about his future, his comments offer a bit of hope for Magic fans.
"I haven't seen the city like this since The Finals [in 2009]," Howard said. "It was great to see."
"Orlando, thank you for what you did this weekend," he said later. "You all did a great job [....] The city was on fire from Thursday night to tonight, and it's been great."
Before the game tipped off, Howard took the microphone and addressed the fans over the public-address system, referring to Orlando as "my city, my home." Afterward, he maintained his remarks were authentic. When asked what point he was trying to make in his address, Howard said, "Exactly what I said. Nothing more, nothing less. What else do you want me to say?"

PLEASE!!!
Stop. I watched Howard speak before the all star game and he looked very uncomfortable when talking about Orlando and the fans. He is 100% leaving if not on the 1st then in the summer as a free agent. Also Nash is not ever leaving the suns.
alright mr. negative
i watched Deron Williams address the crowd in NJ and he was the same way…i cant imagine that just because Dwight wanted to have fun in HIS city on All-Star weekend that people would get mad at him. who cares if he chucked up 3 pointers…its an exhibition game meant for fun. Dwight was just looking to have a good time and that’s what he did..i found it very entertaining to the point where i wanted Dwight to take the last second 3 to try and win the game. Take a chill pill.
Anytime I read a quote from SVG, I always read it in my best impression of his voice
Howard is gone... everyone needs to come to this realization
he isnt Durant, isnt Rose, its shaq all over…..he does love his city and his home is here, just remember he owns a house here and that will be his comeback when he leaves that he will always see this as his city and will always own a home here…JUST LIKE SHAQ!!! he also said his mom saying he should stay—-is just her opinion——he was just trying to get through this weekend because its means his trade his only getting closer. Of course I hope that he does a 180 and stays with Orlando and recruits us another star caliber player that he so desperately wants and we so desperately need, but at this point that is nothin more than just wishful thinking…
wtf
This guy is like an ex girlfriend that you were really into, she breaks up with you but Everynight she is still in your bed trying to bang! Just trade for god Damn Ellis so we can keep him! or get rid of him I just want to be sane again :(
Welp
"Number one song and a Grammy, now I'm smashing
Maserati crashing, swerving through the traffic
Wrap it 'round a pole, sell a mil off the tragedy
I defy gravity "
Funny thing..
I went through a break up when all of this started. Felt exactly the same…
This speech along with him putting his arm around Devos before the game last night
will make it 10 times funnier when he does leave.
"Generally, when I draw the play, it's just who's going where. Maybe I have not made it clear enough that we would like the ball to go in the basket."
